Attach Tooling (B) , Tooling (C) , and a suitable lifting device to draft frame arm (1) . The weight of draft frame arm (1) is approximately 953 kg (2100 lb). Position draft frame arm (1) .

Use two people to position bearing cap (4) onto draft frame arm (1) . The weight of bearing cap (4) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb).
Install bolts (3) in order to hold cap (4) in place. Tighten bolts (3) to 300 15 N m (222 12 lb ft). Use Tooling (E) to check for a gap in the bolted joint. If no gap exists proceed to step 4. F
Fabricate a shim to the thickness of the measured gap, plus 1.52 0.50 mm (0.06 0.02 inch).
Install the shim into the bolted joint.
Torque bolts (3) to a torque of 1125 100 N m (830 74 lb ft).

Lower draft frame arm (1) . Remove Tooling (C) from draft frame arm (1) .

Reposition Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device. Raise draft frame arm (1) and position draft frame arm (1) over the end of the draft arm. To ensure proper alignment of the draft frame arm (1) , align the two 8 mm (0.32 inch) bolt holes that are located in the draft frame arm (1) with the 8 mm (0.32 inch) holes that are located in the draft frame.

Install bolts (2) and the nuts. Use Tooling (D) to tighten bolts (2) to a initial torque of 300 15 N m (222 12 lb ft) by using a star pattern. After the initial torque, torque bolts (2) and nuts to a torque of 1125 100 N m (830 74 lb ft) by using a star pattern. Torque the bolts (2) again to a torque of 1125 100 N m (830 74 lb ft) by using a star pattern.

Remove Tooling (A) .
