Illustration 3. New hoses and short connecting tubes in dust ejector group used on new mufflers.Adaptable To: Both improvements are effective with 992C Loader 49Z694 and are adaptable to 49Z1-49Z693. A new muffler can be used with a former muffler if only one is cracked. The new mufflers can be used with or without the new brackets, angles, and plates. However, since the new muffler has a nipple connection for the new dust ejector hose, the new hose and short tube must be used to connect to the precleaners. See Illustration 3. If desired, the new brackets, angles, plates, and hardware can be used with the former mufflers. All the new parts are listed for reference purposes.
If the former mufflers are used, cut off the dust ejector tube at the flange as shown in Illustration 4. Leave this flange portion on the former muffler, and connect it to the short hose on the precleaner with the following parts as shown in Illustration 5.
