Exhaust Shield Groups
The new exhaust shield groups now only provide shielding on the rear cylinders and between the exhaust and fuel manifolds.
Turbocharger Oil Lines Groups
A new shield and gasket have been added to the oil lines groups. The new 4P6932 Shields provide an oil spray protection between the oil supply line and the turbocharger turbine housing. The new 4P4460 Gasket has higher temperature capability than the former 7N8875 Gasket.
Turbocharger Water Lines Groups
A new clamp assembly is used in the water lines groups. The new 4P0707 Clamp Assembly includes grommets with a higher temperature capability than the former 7C2199 Clamp and 7C2198 Grommet.
Oil Filler Group
An oil filler deflector assembly has been added to the 776B Tractors and 777B and 785 Trucks. The new deflector assembly prevents oil from spilling onto the engine and manifolds when filling or adding oil to the engine.
Air Lines Groups
A new hose and elbow are used in the air lines groups. The new components have a higher temperature capability than the former components.
Platform Groups
New larger platform groups have been added for servicing the engine. The new platforms allow the mechanic to avoid stepping on hot engine components. The new platforms also provide some protection to the engine and attachments by preventing them from being stepped on and damaged.
Steering And Transmission Lines Groups
Several new plates have been added to the steering and transmission lines groups. The new plates protect the hose flange connections in the engine compartment from spraying oil on the engine.
The Parts Manuals for the machines are currently being updated to include the above changes. The Reference includes complete information for adding the new components and modification to earlier machines.
