Remove the flywheel and ring gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel and Ring Gear - Remove and Install".

Remove bolts (2) and remove bracket (1). Remove bolts (3) and mount (4) .

Remove bolts (5) and electric starting motor (6) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel housing (7). Remove flywheel housing (7). The weight of flywheel housing (7) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb).
Remove the gasket between flywheel housing (7) and the cylinder block.

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove oil seal (8) (not shown).Installation Procedure

Use Tooling (B) in order to install oil seal (8) (not shown).
Clean the old gasket material (not shown) from the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and the flywheel housing. Install a new gasket on the cylinder block.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel housing (7). The weight of flywheel housing (7) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb). Install flywheel housing (7) onto the cylinder block.

Position electric starting motor (6) and install bolts (5) .

Position mount (4) and install bolts (3). Position bracket (1) and install bolts (2) .End By: Install the flywheel and ring gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel and Ring Gear - Remove and Install".
