Removal Procedure
Start By:
Purge the air from the air tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Air Tank Moisture and Sediment - Drain".
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal components. Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system.

Put identification marks on all of the hose assemblies for installation purposes. Disconnect three hoses (1), (2), and (3) from inverter valve (5).
Remove two bolts (4) and the washers that secure inverter valve (5) to the front of the air tank.

Mark the three fittings for later assembly purposes. Remove the three fitting assemblies (6), (7), and (8) from inverter valve (5).
