Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate propel speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (3) to the ON position.

Move screed lift switch (4) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.
Move screed lift switch (4) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.

Open center deck plate (7) .

Install prop rod (8) in order to secure the center deck plate.

If necessary, move gate valve (9) so the handle is parallel to the supply hose.
Close center deck plate (7) .

Open cover (10) of the compartment at the front of the operator platform.

Remove four upper bolts (11) from the top of the ventilation exhaust pipe.Note: Two bolts on the left side of the ventilation exhaust pipe are shown. Two additional bolts are located on the right side of the ventilation exhaust pipe.

Remove pilot hose (12) from the pilot tube. Remove four lower bolts (13). Remove clamp (14) for the ventilation exhaust pipe. Remove ventilation exhaust pipe (15) .

Note: Moving fan blades and moving parts will throw or cut any object or any tool that falls or is pushed into the moving fan blades.
Personal injury can result from rotating and moving parts. Stay clear of all rotating and moving parts.Never attempt adjustments while the machine is moving or the engine is running unless otherwise specified.The machine must be parked on a level surface and the engine stopped.Attach a "Do Not Operate" or similar warning tag to the start switch and controls before servicing, repairing, or making adjustments to the machine.
Place a piece of reflective tape (16) from Tool (A) on the blades of the fan.
Move engine start switch (6) to the START position. Release the engine start switch after the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the monitor display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Measure fan speed with Tool (A). The fan speed should be 1950 50 rpm.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position after the engine reaches low idle.
If the fan speed is outside the specified range, replace the flow control valve.
Replace ventilation exhaust pipe (15). Tighten four upper bolts (11) .
Replace clamp (14) for the ventilation exhaust pipe. Tighten four lower bolts (13). Replace pilot hose (12) .
Close access compartment cover (10) .
