(1) 178-7539 Receptacle As Adaptable To: The 178-7539 Receptacle As replaces the 9R-7941 Power Receptacle As. See Table 3 for the effectivity of this change. This change is adaptable back to first production. See "Installation Procedure for the Receptacle".

( 1 ) If necessary, install new 6V-0491 Blade Terminals .

The former socket pulled from the roof.
Use a 28.6 mm (1.125 inch) hole saw to drill around the former receptacle.
Remove the former receptacle from the roof and from the electrical connector.Note: If necessary, install new 6V-0491 Blade Terminals .
Remove the retaining nut from the 178-7539 Receptacle As. Connect the two wires to the 178-7539 Receptacle As .
Wrap the connections with 1P-0810 Electrical Tape .
Push the receptacle into the roof. Install the 179-5435 Flange with the 3E-6922 Recess Flat Head Screws .Note: Any former warning beacon lamps can be adapted in order to connect to the receptacle.
