The on/off solenoid valve may malfunction andneeds to be replaced on certain 312B, 315B, 317B, 318B, 320B, 322B, 325B,330B AND 345B Excavators. The malfunction may be in the form of sticking,shorting, seizing, etc). The solenoid valve is used in various locationsin the excavator including, the pilot manifold, auxiliary manifold, quickcoupler valve and smart boom valve swing brake, fine swing. Some excavators may present a malfunction of theON/OFF solenoid valve (sticking, shortened and seizing). The solenoid valveis used in various locations like standard manifold, auxiliary manifold,quick coupler valve, smart boom manifold, etc.See Illustrations 1-6 below.The defective solenoid valve has to be replacedby a new one.
