COLLAR-LOCKING 2477054 - Caterpillar

Remove four bolts (1) and the washers. Position the hose assemblies for removal of the steering control support.

Loosen four setscrews (2) .
Slide shaft (3) forward in order to remove steering control support (4) as a unit. Pivot the steering control support downward and remove the unit.

If necessary, remove six bolts (5) in order to remove support (6). Remove the support.

Remove the retaining ring in order to remove bearing (7). Remove the bearing. Repeat for the remaining bearing.
Remove stop (9) and the shims.
Remove thin nut (8) and the lockwasher.

Remove bolt (10), the washer, the spring, and the spacer.
Remove guide (11), the spring pin, and the pin.

Loosen nut (12) .
Remove rod (13) and lever assembly (14) .

Remove four bolts (15) .
Separate support (16) from support (17) .

Remove two machine screws (18) and remove bar (19) .

Remove four bolts (21) .
Separate cushion assembly (22) from support (20) .

Remove locknut (23) .
Separate support (16) from support (20) .
Remove two machine screws and remove rack (24) .

Loosen setscrew (25). Remove bearing (26) from support (16) .
Repeat Step 20 for the three remaining bearings.

Remove the locknut and spring (27) .
Remove two bolts (29), the lockwashers, and the locknuts.
Remove coil spring (30) .
Remove two bolts (31), the hard washers, and the lockwashers. Separate the plate assembly from plate assembly (28) .
Remove two pivot bolts (32) .
Remove two retainers (34) and remove rod (33) .
Remove two retaining rings (35), two spacers, and the governor control shaft. Remove lever (36) .
