Remove the fan drive.
Illustration 1 g01184139Note: Some models are equipped with standard washers in place of a locking tab.
If equipped, bend the locking tabs (1). Remove bolts (3) and fan adapter (2).

Use a suitable press to remove fan drive (4) from the fan support.

Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (5). Remove the shaft and the bearings from the fan drive housing.

Remove seal (6).

Remove ring (7) and spacer (8).

Use a suitable press in order to push shaft (9) through bearing (10), spacer (11), and bearing (12).
