Description of Change: A new magnetic switch assembly has replaced the relay for the air starting motor on the above engines that are equipped with a premium wiring harness. The former relay did not draw enough current from the Engine Control Module (ECM). This caused the ECM to log a "444-05 Starting Motor Relay Open/Short To + Battery" diagnostic code. The new magnetic switch assembly draws more current. This prevents the diagnostic code from being logged incorrectly.Adaptable To: The new 9F-3099 Magnetic Switch Assembly has replaced the 9Y-2921 Relay for the air starting motor on the above engines that are equipped with a premium wiring harness.
