Hold the actuator control shaft in the SHUTOFF position (2) .
Loosen bolt (8) and rotate the lever (7) to the closed angle (D) that is 40 5 degrees.
Verify that the lever (7) is the correct distance from the governor. Distance (E) is 4.3 0.5 mm (0.17 0.02 inch).
Tighten bolt (8) .Use the following procedure to install the carburetor lever:
Hold the throttle plate closed.
Loosen bolt (5) and rotate carburetor lever (4) to closed angle (B) that is 45 degrees.
Tighten bolt (5) .Use the following procedure to install the control rod:
Hold carburetor lever (4) in the SHUTOFF position (2) .
Adjust carburetor control rod (3) until the rod fits between lever (7) and carburetor lever (4) .
Ensure that there is no binding during full travel of the control linkage.
Torque the jam nut (6) to 13 3 N m (115 27 lb in). (C) Approximate length of the carburetor control rod. ... 518 mm (20.4 inch)
