Remove Water Pump
The radiator and guard, left side engine guards and fan assembly are removed for better photo illustration for the water pump. The left side fan guard assembly must be removed for the removal of the water pump.1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 2. Loosen two clamps and slide the small hose (1) behind the water heater back on the pipe.3. Disconnect the inlet hose assembly (2) from bottom of the water pump. 4. Remove two bolts (3) from the top of the water pump.5. Remove two bolts (5) and water pump (4) from the timing gear cover. Check the condition of the O-ring seal in the water pump. If the seal has damage, use a new part for replacement.Install Water Pump
1. Install a new O-ring seal in the groove on water pump (1). Put the water pump in position in the timing gear cover. Install the four bolts that hold it. 2. Connect the hose (2) between the water pump and pipe. Tighten the two clamps.3. Connect the inlet hose (3) to the bottom of the water pump.4. Install the left side fan guard and left side engine guard assemblies.5. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.
