Secondary Steering Pump and Electric Motor
(1) Secondary steering motor. (2) Inlet port. (3) Secondary steering pump. (4) Ground terminal. (5) Positive terminal. (6) Outlet port.
Secondary steering is an attachment on these machines. The secondary steering pump and electric motor is located on the lower left inside frame.The secondary steering pump group contains secondary steering motor (1) and secondary steering pump (3). Secondary steering motor (1) is a 24 VDC motor. Motor (1) drives secondary steering pump (3). Motor (1) turns pump (3) in a counterclockwise direction.Secondary steering pump (3) is a gear pump. Secondary steering pump (3) pulls oil in inlet port (2). The oil is pulled around the gears. The oil exits through outlet port (6).An internal relief valve located inside the end cap on the secondary steering pump limits the amount of oil pressure in the secondary steering circuit.Note: During normal machine operation, the secondary steering pump and electric motor does not operate unless there is a failure of the primary steering pump.
