This motor contactor is used only on gas engines.Motor contactors are equipped with thermal type overloads. These thermal type overloads protect against the following failures: motor, cables for the motor and switchgear. The thermal type overloads have a factory preset value for overcurrent. If the overload trips the overload must be manually reset.
The motor starter compartment should not be accessed unless the equipment is de-energized. Personal injury and/or damage to the switchgear could occur if the motor starter compartment is accessed when the equipment is energized. Do not operate the power module if the cover for the motor starter compartment is not installed. Ensure that the cover for the motor starter compartment is installed. Bodily contact with electrical potential will cause personal injury or death.

The metallic guard is installed on the equipment before the equipment is shipped. Do not operate the equipment if the metallic guard is not properly installed. Use the bolts that are provided in order to reinstall the metallic guard if the guard is removed. Operating the equipment without the metallic guard installed may result in personal injury or death by electrocution. Bodily contact with electrical potential will cause personal injury or death.
Note: The door operated safety switch (8) is the limit switch for the left top door. The door operated safety switch trips the generator circuit breaker and the door operated safety switch commands the genset to shut down.
