However, each differential and bevel gear group has a serial number stamped on the carrier assembly. Assemblies with serial numbers 883-Up use the new bearing adjustment locking method. The current part number of the former pinion shaft is 5U6559. However, earlier parts books still in circulation list the former DJB Part Number DH6559. Also, the current part numbers of the former stake nut, washer and spacer are 5U8004, 5U8032 and 6U649, respectively. Earlier parts books and microfiche list the former DJB Part Numbers DH8004, DH8032 and DK649.
