Unlatch the engine hood and raise the engine hood.

Unlock the priming pump plunger and operate the priming pump plunger until a resistance is felt.
Push in the priming pump plunger and tighten the priming pump plunger by hand.
Crank the engine.The engine may require additional hand priming under the following conditions:
The engine does not start.
The engine emits smoke.
The engine misfires.
If the engine starts but the engine runs rough, continue to run the engine at low idle. Run the engine at low idle until the engine runs properly.
Check the fuel system for leaks. Stop the engine.
Close the engine hood and latch the engine hood.
