Information:

38. Install four discs (44) and three plates (43) in the number three (third speed) clutch housing. Start and stop with a disc. Install the shaft. 39. Install six pins (45) and twelve springs (46). 40. Install teflon seal rings (48) on piston (49). Make sure the lip of the rings is toward the housing. Put clean transmission oil on the rings.41. Install piston (49) in the number two (forward) clutch housing (47). 42. Install two 1/2" - 13 NC forged eyebolts and fasten a hoist to the number two clutch housing. Put clutch housing (47) in its original position on the number three clutch housing.
Be sure the oil passages are clean in shafts (50).
43. Install bearings (53) in gears (51). Install gears (51) in planet carrier with a thrust washer (52) on each side of the gears. Install shafts (50) that hold the gears in place.
Be sure the rubber in the pins (54) that hold shafts (50) in the carrier is not damaged. If the rubber is damaged, a replacement of the pins must be made.
44. Install pins (54) that hold shafts (50) in place. 45. Install gear (55) in planet carrier for the number two and one clutches. 46. Install two 3/8" - 16 NC forged eyebolts in planet carrier (56) for the number two and one clutches. Fasten a hoist and put the planet carrier in position as shown. 47. Install five discs (57) and four plates (58) in the number two (forward) clutch housing. Start and stop with a disc. 48. Install ring gear (59) for the number two clutch. 49. Install spiral lockring (61) in ring gear (60). Install ring gear (60) for the number one clutch.
Make sure the notch in the bearing is up when installed.
50. Install the bearing in cage (62) with tool group (B) from the back side of the cage. 51. Install the spiral lockring (63) that holds the bearing in place. 52. Install cage (62). 53. Install locks (64) and bolts that hold the cage. 54. Install twelve springs (66) and six pins (65). 55. Install teflon seal rings (69) in piston (67). Make sure the lip of the ring is toward the housing. Put clean transmission oil on the rings.56. Install piston (67) in the number one (reverse) clutch housing (68). 57. Install two 1/2" - 13 NC forged eyebolts and fasten a hoist to the number one clutch housing. Put clutch housing (68) in its original position on the number two clutch housing. 58. Install seal ring (71) on sun gear (70). 59. Install sun gear (70) on shaft. 60. Install seal rings (72) on the carrier. Apply 4C4032 or 7M7456 Bearing Mount Compound to the area onto which the carrier ring will be positioned. 61. Install carrier (73) on the shaft. The carrier has one slotted hole and one round hole. The spring pin is to be installed into the round hole and driven through to a depth of 3.5 .5 mm (.14
