Inspect the O-ring seals. Install new seals, if necessary. Be sure that the O-ring seals are in position on the filter base. Put the filter base in position on the oil cooler and install bolts (5) .
Install bolt (8), clip (9), the spacer and inlet tube assembly (10) to outlet tube assembly (6). Install the bolts that hold the inlet tube assembly to the cylinder block and to the filter base. Install bolt (7) that holds outlet tube assembly (6) to the cylinder block and to the filter base.

Put clean engine oil on the filter seal. Install oil filter (3) on filter base (4) by hand. When the gasket contacts the filter base, tighten the filter element by an additional turn of 270 degrees. Rotation index marks are on the new filter elements. The rotation index marks are spaced at 90 degree intervals. Use the rotation index marks as a guide for proper tightening.

Put access panel (2) in position on the left side of the machine and install six bolts (1) .
