1. Remove 8 bolts (1) and washers.2. Remove cover plate (2) and gasket. 3. Slide the rotor drive axle shaft (3) outboard far enough to attach a lifting device to the assembly, then remove the assembly from the chain case. During installation, shim as needed so that seal (4) has a .12 to .25 wide contact pattern with the rotor drive axle. For installation of the rotor drive axle shaft, reverse the removal steps.Disassemble & Assemble Rotor Drive Axle Shaft
Start By:a. Remove chain axle shaft. 1. Remove eight bolts (1) and nuts.2. Remove plate (2). Remove sealant and reapply at assembly with 8T-9014 RTV.3. Remove axle shaft (3). 4. Remove two bolts (4) and washers and plate (5). 5. Remove axle seal (6), retaining ring, not shown and bearing (7) if necessary.6. Remove sprocket (8). 7. Remove gasket (9). For assembly of the chain axle shaft reverse the disassembly steps.End By:a. Install chain axle shaft.
