At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.Steam can cause personal injury.Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
The access door for the radiator cap and the sight glass for the coolant is located on the top left of the engine enclosure.

Observe the sight glass (2) in order to verify the level of the coolant. If the coolant is above the middle of the sight glass, the coolant level is correct. If the coolant level is below the middle of the sight glass, the coolant level is low.
If it is necessary to add coolant, remove the radiator cap (1) slowly in order to relieve the pressure.
Inspect the radiator cap and the radiator cap seal for debris, for foreign material, or for damage. Clean the radiator cap with a clean cloth. Replace the radiator cap if the radiator cap is damaged.
Install the radiator cap.
Inspect the radiator core for debris. Clean the radiator core, if necessary. Use compressed air, high pressure water, or steam to remove dust and debris from the radiator core. However, the use of compressed air is preferred.
