Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Remove the compartment cover from the rear of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.

Disconnect electrical connection (1) .
Remove bolt (3) and the washer.
Remove resistor assembly (2) .
Remove the remaining two resistor assemblies in the same manner.Installation Procedure

Install resistor assembly (2) .
Install bolt (3) and the washer.
Connect electrical connection (1) .
Install the remaining two resistor assemblies in the same manner.End By:
