Parking and Secondary Brake
Do not engage the secondary brake while the machine is moving unless the primary service brake fails. The use of the secondary brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the brake system.
Parking Brake - The parking brake pedal (1) is located on the left of the operator seat. The parking brake is to be used after the machine has been stopped. Parking Brake Engaged - Push the pedal (1) down to engage the parking brake. Parking Brake Disengaged - Pull the lever (2) out, to release the parking brake. Secondary Brake - The parking and secondary brake use the same lever. The secondary brake is to be used if the service brakes fail to stop the machine.Brake Pedals
Depress either brake pedal for normal machine braking. Press the bottom of the switch to activate the transmission neutralizer. When the transmission neutralizer is activated, the left brake pedal disengages the transmission and brakes the machine. This permits higher engine speed for better hydraulic response when positioning and raising the attachment at the same time.Release the pedal to re-engage the transmission and to release the brake.Accelerator Pedal
Accelerator Pedal - The accelerator pedal is located on the floor of the operator's station, at the right.Push down the pedal to increase travel speed.Release the pedal to decrease travel speed.Transmission Neutral Lock
Locked - Move the transmission control lever into the NEUTRAL position. Press the right side of the switch to lock the transmission control into the NEUTRAL position. Unlocked - Press the left side of the switch to unlock the transmission control.Transmission Direction and Speed Control

FORWARD (1) - Move the transmission lever up. The machine will move forward. NEUTRAL (2) - The machine should not move when transmission lever is in neutral. REVERSE (3) - Move the transmission lever down. The machine will move in reverse.Speed Selector
Rotate the transmission lever to the desired gear speed:1 First Speed2 Second Speed3 Third Speed4 Fourth SpeedAutoshift (If Equipped)
Manual Mode - The gear speed is selected by rotating the transmission lever. The downshift switch is only active in second gear.Pressing and releasing the downshift switch on the lift lever while the machine is in second gear will cause the transmission to run in first gear. This condition will remain until the shift lever is moved, either a speed or direction change. Automatic Mode - Automatic shifting is provided in gears at or below highest speed setting on the transmission lever. The downshift switch is active in all gears and caused transmission downshifts to occur at higher than normal machine speeds.Pressing and releasing the downshift switch will cause a one gear downshift, provided the machine and engine speeds are such that an engine overspeed would not occur.Pressing and holding the downshift switch will cause the transmission to continue to downshift as the machine speed decreases. The transmission will remain in the downshifted gear for three seconds after the downshift switch is released before automatic shifting is resumed.
