The torque on the Planetary Gear bolts needs to be inspected on certain D6N and D6T Track-Type Tractors and PL61 Pipelayers. The bolts need to be tightened if found below specification. If the bolts are below specification severe damage to the final drive can occur.

ACTION REQUIRED
Adjust torque wrench to 200 Nm. Check the 3 external bolts on the final drive. If they move, adjust the torque wrench to 240 Nm and re-tighten.
The factory torque specification for the bolts is 240 +/- 40 Nm. It is important to check them at minimum torque.
