Illustration 2 g03730119
Disconnect clamp (1). Disconnect temperature sensor (2).
Illustration 3 g03730122
Disconnect tube assembly (6). Loosen clamp (3). Disconnect strap (4). Remove inlet module assembly (5). Installation Procedure
Note: When installing a new inlet module assembly or a cleaned inlet module assembly , a DOC reset must be performed. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8180, "Aftertreatment Filter Maintenance on Tier 4 Final Products Equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), and a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Filter" for the correct procedure.
Install inlet module assembly (5) in the reverse order of removal.

Facing the Inlet Module Assembly.
Install clamp (3) to Dimension (Y). Dimension (Y) is 30° 5°. Tighten clamp (3) to a torque of 60 5 N m (44 4 lb ft).
Illustration 5 g03469379
Typical Example
Note: Do not use power tools in order to torque clamp (3).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of clamp (3) along Distance (Z). Distance (Z) is 25 mm (1.0 inch) above the trunnion. Tighten strap (3) to a torque of 15 + 3 - 0 N m (133 + 27 - 0 lb in).
Illustration 6 g03469423
Cutaway view of clamp (1) in position on the assembly.
Note: Do not use power tools in order to torque band clamp (1).
Verify that the cup of the Ball Joint (G) does not touch the radius of the Ball (F). Position clamp (1) and hand tighten clamp (1). Clamp (6) should be in the center of the joint.
Dimension (D) and Dimension (E) should be equal within 2.0 mm (0.08 inch). Repeat the measurements every 90° around clamp (1). If necessary, adjust clamp (1).
Torque clamp (1) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of temperature sensor (2). Tighten temperature sensor (2) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
