Removal Procedure

Loosen the hose clamps and remove the hose assembly from inlet connection (5).
Disconnect harness assembly (7) from harness assembly (9).
Slide the connection for harness assembly (7) from the bracket (8).
Remove nut (4) and bolts (6) (not shown) from inlet connection (5).
Remove inlet connection (5) from spacer (2).
Remove spacer (2) and remove gasket (3) (not shown).
Remove gasket (1) (not shown) from the inlet air mixer.

Remove bolts (10). Make temporary mark on wastegate solenoid (11) for installation purposes.
Remove wastegate solenoid (11) from inlet manifold connection (5). Installation Procedure

Ensure that all components of wastegate solenoid are clean and free from wear and damage. If necessary, replace the wastegate solenoid as an assembly if any of components are worn or damaged.

Ensure that O-ring seals (12) and O-ring seal (13) on wastegate solenoid (11) are free from damage and wear.
If the O-ring seals are damaged or worn, the wastegate solenoid should be replaced as an assembly.
Ensure that the ports in Position (X) are clean and free from restriction.
Lightly apply Tooling (A) to O-ring seals (12) and O-ring seal (13).

Install wastegate solenoid (11) to inlet manifold connection (5). Note: Ensure that the wastegate solenoid is correctly orientated.
Install bolts (10) to wastegate solenoid (11). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 9 N m (80 lb in).

Position a new gasket (1) (not shown) onto the inlet air mixer. Ensure that the gasket is correctly located on Pins (Y).
Position a new gasket (3) (not shown) onto spacer (2). Ensure that the gasket is correctly located on Pins (Y).
Install spacer (2) onto the inlet air mixer. Ensure that the spacer is correctly orientated.
Install inlet connection (5) onto spacer (2).
Install nut (4) and bolts (6) (not shown) to inlet connection (5). Tighten the nut and the bolts to a torque of 22 N m (195 lb in).
Slide the connection for harness assembly (7) onto the bracket (8).
Connect harness assembly (7) to harness assembly (9).
Install the hose assembly to inlet connection (5). Tighten the hose clamps securely.
