AllTwo types of fluid sampling valves are used on Caterpillar products. You must use the correct quick connect coupler with each type of fluid sampling valve.

Single purpose, fluid sampling valve. Notice the larger diameter bushing in comparison with the smaller diameter bushing that is used in the dual purpose, fluid sampling valve.Some products are equipped with fluid sampling valves that are designed for a single purpose. These fluid sampling valves are rated at 3447 kPa (500 psi). You must use the 243-3133 Quick Connect Coupler (Fluid Sampling) with valves that are designed for a single purpose.

These fluid sampling valves are rated at 41369 kPa (6000 psi). The valves are used for diagnostic purposes. For diagnostic purposes (pressure readings), the center sections of the valves are actuated by either a 6V-4143 Coupler or a 6V-4144 Coupler. The valve can also be used in order to sample fluids at pressures up to 10342 kPa (1500 psi). You must use the 210-5530 Coupler to sample fluids from valves that serve dual purposes.
