1. Remove oil filter (1) with tool (A). 2. Remove tube (6) from the ngine oil level tube.3. Remove the clip from inlet tube (5) if so equipped. Remove inlet tube (5) and outlet tube (4).4. Remove bolts (2) that hold the oil filter base to the engine oil cooler. Remove oil filter base (3).
Covers (8) hold springs (9) under compression.
5. Remove bolts (7) and covers (8).6. Remove springs (9) and plungers (10) from the oil filter base. The following steps are for installation of the oil filter base.7. Inspect all O-ring seals and gaskets for damage and make replacements if needed. Put clean oil on the O-ring seals.8. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the bypass valves for the oil filter base.9. Install plungers (10), springs (9), covers (8) and bolts (7) in the oil filter base. 10. Make sure O-ring seals (11) are in place and install oil filter base (2).11. Make sure the O-ring seals and gaskets for the inlet and outlet tubes are in place. Install inlet tube (5) and outlet tube (4). Install tube (6). Install the clip on the inlet tube if so equipped.12. Install a new oil filter. Follow the instructions on the filter for the correct installation procedure.
