Component Locations (Cover Panel removed) (1) Diagnostic Connector (2) Fuse/Relay panels (3) Power Converter (4) Machine ECMThe Machine ECM, Fuse Panels and Diagnostic Connector are located to the RH side of the operator seat.The ECM and Fuse Panels are accessible by removal of a cover panel.The electronic control modules can communicate with each other through the CAN Data Link. Information from these electronic controls can be accessed through the machine monitor or by using the Plus+1 Service Tool for Caterpillar on a laptop computer.The Diagnostic Connector is the same as used with Caterpillar Electronic Technician.Note: The Caterpillar Communication Adapter 3 is an RP1210A compliant communication interface device designed to work with a personal computer under Microsoft Windows.

Fuses - The fuses protect the electrical system from damage that is caused by overloaded circuits. If the element inside the fuse separates, replace the fuse. Check the circuit if the element is separated in the new fuse. Repair the circuit, if necessary.
