Remove the wheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel - Remove and Install". Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

Remove cotter pin (1) and nut (2). Install Tooling (A) and strike with a hammer in order to break the taper. Note: Keep the plastic washer.
Position tie rod (3) out of the way.

Remove bolt (4), bolt (6), and washer (5).

Position steering cylinder (9) out of the way.

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (B) to wheel spindle (10). Install Tooling (C) in order to remove pin (11).
