Removal Procedure
Start By:
Purge the air from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove bolts (2) (not shown) in order to disconnect bracket (1) and the strap from door (3).

Disconnect harness assembly (6).
Cut cable straps (5) in order to remove harness assembly (6) from seat (4).

Tilt seat (4) forward. Disconnect compression fitting (8) and the tube from the back side of seat (4).

Position seat (4) onto the catwalk platform.
Attach a suitable lifting sling and a hoist to seat (4). Use the hoist in order to remove seat (4). The weight of seat (4) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb). Installation Procedure

Verify that all of the components of seat (4) are clean and free of foreign material before installation.
Inspect the components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.
Attach a suitable lifting sling and a hoist to seat (4). Use the hoist to position seat (4) onto the catwalk platform. The weight of seat (4) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).
Remove the lifting sling from seat (4).

Make sure that all tubes and all harness assemblies are clear of seat (4) as the seat is positioned.
Position seat (4) inside the cab.
Tilt seat (4) forward. Connect compression fitting (8) and the tube to the back side of seat (4).
Use bolts (7) in order to install seat (4) to the floor of the cab.

Connect harness assembly (6).
Install cable straps (5) in order to secure harness assembly (6) to seat (4).

Install bolts (2) (not shown) in order to connect bracket (1) and the strap to door (3).
