(A) Existing bolts and washers
(1) 368-6256 Plate As
Install two 368-6256 Plate As (1) to the alternator using the existing alternator mounting bolts and washers (A). Tighten bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Install 489-2245 Guard As (3) onto the mounting bosses on both 368-6256 Plate As (1) using four 8T-4136 Bolts (4) and four 8T-4121 Hard Washers (5). Tighten bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).Re configuration of A/C Hose Assembly and Battery Cable Assembly Routing to Guard Assembly

Attach cable assembly (A) to the 489-2245 Guard As using one 8T-4195 Bolt (1), one 8T-4121 Hard Washer (2), one 353-7957 Grommet (3), and one 067-2551 Clip (4). Refer to Illustration 4 for placement
Connect hose assembly (B) to the 489-2245 Guard As using one 8T-4136 Bolt (5), one 8T-4121 Hard Washer (2), and one 4S-1962 Clip (6).

Trim material from existing 452-7426 Guard or 452-7427 Guard if required to eliminate any interference between the guard and the alternator mounting hardware. See Illustration 5 for trim location.Note: Skip Step 3 if replacing existing guard with new guard. Refer to Table 2.
