Removal Procedure

Loosen wing nut (2). Remove cover (1). Remove the cover from the other side of the machine.

Release the hood latch and install lifting sling around the latch assembly and internal hooks. Attach a suitable lifting device. Raise hood (5).
Remove both metal clips (3) from the socket end of strut (4). Repeat on the other side of the machine hood. Remove both struts from the inside of the machine hood.
Lower the hood to the closed position.

Remove nuts (6), the washers, and the bolts.

Slowly remove hood (5) from the machine. The weight of hood (5) is approximately 39 kg (86 lb). Installation Procedure

Attach a lifting sling and a suitable lifting device to hood (5).
Install hood (5) in position on the machine.

Align the hood to the hinges. Install the bolts, the washers, and nuts (6).
Raise the machine hood.

Install struts (4) onto the ball socket of the machine hood. Snap the metal clips (3) in place.
Lower hood assembly (5) in place.
Remove the lifting sling and the suitable lifting device from hood (5).

Install cover (1). Tighten wing nut (2). Install cover (1) on the other side of the machine.
