PELJ1171 ?2010 Caterpillar CAT REMAN INTRODUCES TOP END OVERHAUL KITS FOR 3500 MARINE ENGINES
To better support the needs of our customers in the marine industry, Cat Reman is pleased to announce the release of top end overhaul kits for 3500 marine engines. An overhaul kit can greatly reduce the time required to identify, order, inventory, and service the numerous gaskets, seals, bearings, and other typical overhaul parts. Time spent researching and ordering individual parts can be eliminated with prepackaged overhaul groups that can be stocked to meet immediate customer needs.
These 3500 kits are going to be supported as kit-to-order parts. All individual kit components will be stocked in Morton. They will be kitted up and shipped in one box on receipt of an order. The estimated ship date from order receipt will be 14 days. These kits are intended for planned overhauls and not for emergency, mega, or down orders.

IMO Certification
Cat Reman has received IMO supplemental certificates from Germanischer Lloyd for the 3500 and 3412 engine series. IMO certification allows Cat Reman to provide increased dealer and customer support to those in the Marine industry. IMO Supplemental Certificates are available on-line for download at engines.cat.com/marine or at catreman.cat.com/IMO. In the future, these files will also be available in SISWEB.
Kit to Order Process
There will be very limited stocking of these kits in some overseas parts depots, but these are primarily intended to be kit-to-order. As stated earlier, these are intended for planned repairs, and not emergency repairs. We would encourage the use of Committed Planned Repair Orders (CPRO) or Future-Dated-Orders (FDO) if you have visibility to anticipated requirements. Without the use of CPRO or FDO, please plan for orders to be filled no earlier than 14 days after order receipt. Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery in regions where the kits are not stocked.
Core Acceptance
Use the appropriate core acceptance criteria to inspect and return the individual cores. The following Core Acceptance Criteria are available supporting these products.
