When reporting the repair, use "PI30415" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI30415" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. PROBLEM
The electric starter motor may have loose connectionson certain D7R Series II Track-Type Tractors. The starter motor nut connectionsneed to be tightened to the proper torque to provide adequate contact betweenthe wire terminals and the starter motor. The electric starter motor mayhave reduced life if the battery cable and the starter terminal wire assemblydo not have good contact with the electric starter motor.AFFECTED PRODUCT

1. Tighten nut (1) to a torque of 30.5 +/-3.5 N.m (22.50 +/- 2.60 lb ft) in order to secure the battery cable.2. Tighten nut (3) to a torque of 2.25 +/-0.25 N.m (1.66 +/- 0.20 lb ft) in order to secure the starter terminalwire assembly.3. Make sure that the battery cable is positionedalong the ladder clip and that tie wrap (2) is used to secure the batterycable to the ladder clip.OWNER NOTIFICATION
