Attach a suitable lifting device to bucket (1). The weight of a standard bucket is 3450 kg (7607 lb).
Install the bucket on the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR7843, "R1600G Load Haul Dump Machine Systems ", "Install Bucket" and Specifications, RENR7839, "R1600G Load Haul Dump Hydraulic System", "Bucket Control ".
Lubricate the bucket pivot bearings. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, RENR7331, "R1600G Load Haul Dump", "Bucket Pivot Bearings - Lubricate".After assembly is complete, prepare the machine for use. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, RENR7331, "R1600G Load Haul Dump", "Service Inspection".Remove Air from the Braking System
Make sure that all the air that is trapped in the braking system is purged. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7838, "R1600G Load Haul Dump Braking System", "Braking System Air - Purge" for the correct procedure.Steering Cylinder - Connect
Personal injury or death can result from machine articulation or movement. Machine frames can move and a person can be crushed. Connect the steering frame lock between the front and rear frames before working on the machine.Before operating the machine, place the steering frame lock in the stored position.Failure to place the steering frame lock into the stored position before operating can result in loss of steering.

Start the engine. Extend steering cylinder rod to align the bore with the bores in the front frame. Stop the engine.
Install the pin to steering cylinder rod (1). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR7843, "R1600G Load Haul Dump Machine Systems", "Install Steering Cylinders" for the installation procedure.
Lubricate the bearing in the rod end of the steering cylinder. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, RENR7331, "R1600G Load Haul Dump", "Steering Cylinder Bearings - Lubricate".
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other side steering cylinder.
Remove the steering frame lock pin.Commissioning Procedure
