Start By:a. remove ripper mounting group 1. Position ripper assembly (2) on wood blocks as shown. Position Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to plate assembly (1) as shown. Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. 2. Remove bolt (3), the washer, and rod end (5) from link assembly (6). Remove bolt (4) and locknut (7) from plate assembly (1). 3. Position a lifting sling on link assembly (6) as shown. Secure the sling to a hoist. Using a brass drift, remove pin (8) from link assembly (6). Fold link assembly (6) back as shown. The weight of link assembly (6) is 39 Kg (85 lb).4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the remaining link assembly. 5. Remove bolt (9) and locknut (10) from plate assembly (1). 6. Using a brass drift, remove pin (11) from plate assembly (1).7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the remaining pin and remove plate assembly (1) from frame and bearing assembly (12). The weight of plate assembly (1) is 522 Kg (1150 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the ripper plate assembly8. Make sure all components of the ripper plate assembly are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.9. Check all components for wear or damage, and replace if necessary.10. Using Tooling (A), and a suitable lifting device install plate assembly (1) to frame and bearing assembly (12). Using a brass drift, install pin (11) to plate assembly (1). The weight of plate assembly (1) is 522 Kg (1150 lb).11. Install bolt (9) and locknut (10) to plate assembly (1).12. Repeat Steps 10 and 11 for the remaining pin.13. Using a lifting sling and hoist, install link assembly (6) to the plate assembly. Using a brass drift, install pin (8) to link assembly (6). The weight of link assembly (6) is 39 Kg (85 lb).14. Install rod end (5), bolt (3), and the washer to link assembly (6). Install bolt (4) and locknut (7) to plate assembly (1).15. Repeat Steps 13 and 14 for the remaining link assembly.16.
