Connect one end of the test hose (32) to the supply line for the work tool (24) . Connect the other end of the test hose (32) to the inlet port on the flow meter (40) . Refer to Illustration 2.
Connect one end of the second test hose (33) to the return line for the work tool. Connect the other end of the test hose (33) to the outlet port on the flow meter. Refer to Illustration 2.

Install a pressure gauge with a 40000 kPa (5800 psi) capacity on pressure tap (27) and pressure tap (26) for main pump pressure.
Open the load valve (34) on the flow meter to FULL OPEN.
Start the engine.
Move the engine speed dial to position 10.
Increase the oil temperature to 50 °C (122 °F).
Select Tool #5 "CUTTER" for tool priority flow. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool - Select" for the Tool Control System.

Position switch (45) for tool priority flow to the ON position.
Turn load valve (34) on the flow meter CLOCKWISE until the desired work tool operating pressure is read on pressure gauge (31) .
Check that tool priority flow is within the range of the desired specification for flow to the work tool.
If the desired flow is out of the range, adjust the tool priority flow valve (43) with the following procedure.
Open the load valve (34) on the flow meter to FULL OPEN.
Position switch (45) for tool priority flow to the OFF position.
Tune the flow to the desired value by adjusting valves (44) . Turn adjusting valves (44) clockwise to decrease flow. Turn adjusting valves (44) counterclockwise to increase flow. Refer to Illustration 3 and Illustration 4.
Position switch (45) for tool priority flow to the ON position.
Adjust load valve (34) on the flow meter until the desired work tool operating pressure is read on pressure gauge (31) .Note: Adjustments to the pressure reading on gauge (31) should only be made on pressure
