Install lockring (18) to the rod assembly (8) .
Lower the temperature of bearing (19) . Position bearing (19) into the rod assembly (8) until bearing (19) is seated against lockring (18) .Note: Bearing (19) must be installed so that the fracture plane is along Line (Y) .
Install the remaining lockring (18) to the rod assembly (8) .
Install lockring (16) to the cylinder assembly (4) .
Lower the temperature of bearing (17) . Position bearing (17) into the cylinder assembly (4) until bearing (17) is seated against lockring (16) .Note: Bearing (17) must be installed so that the fracture plane is along Line (X) .
Install the remaining lockring (16) to cylinder assembly (4) .
Install lip seal (15) and U-cup seal (14) to head (7) . Install ring (13) and O-ring seal (12) to head (7) .
Install head (7) onto rod assembly (8) . Install rod assembly (8) to Tooling (A) .
Install ball (11) , plate (10) and wear ring (9) into rod assembly (8) .
Use Tooling (A) to assemble rod assembly (8) into cylinder assembly (4) . Align head (7) with cylinder assembly (4) .
Install bolts (6) and the washers to head (7) .
Install valve (1) , poppet (2) , and plug (3) into cylinder assembly (4) . Tighten valve (1) to a torque of 0.50 0.10 N m (4.43 0.89 lb in).
Install two valve assemblies (5) and the O-ring seals to cylinder assembly (4) .End By: Install the rear suspension cylinder.
