Service Brake
Apply - Push the pedal DOWN to apply the service brake. Release - Release the pedal to release the brake.Secondary Brake
Apply - Pull the button OUT to apply the secondary brake if the service brakes fail to stop the machine.The secondary brake will apply automatically if air pressure drops below 280 kPa (40 psi). Release - Push the button IN to release the secondary brake. The air pressure must be 850 50 kPa (125 10 psi). Be sure the button stays in, to keep the brakes released, before moving the machine.Parking Brake
Apply - Pull the button OUT to apply the parking brake. The parking brake should be applied any time the operator leaves the operator's compartment.The parking brake will apply automatically if air pressure drops below 280 kpa (40 psi). Release - Push the button IN to release the parking brake. The air pressure must be 850 50 kPa (125 10 psi). Increase Engine Speed - Push the pedal DOWN to INCREASE engine speed. Decrease Engine Speed - Release the pedal to DECREASE engine speed.Transmission Range Selector
Forward (1.) - Manually shift the transmission between 1st and 6th speed for each up or down shift desired. Neutral (2.) - Move the lever to NEUTRAL when parking the machine or when starting the engine. Reverse (3.) - For REVERSE, move the lever to the front of the console.Transmission Neutral Lock
Move the range selector to NEUTRAL. Push the lever DOWN and move it to the LEFT to lock the transmission in NEUTRAL. Unlocked - Push the lever DOWN and move it to the RIGHT to unlock the transmission range selector.The transmission neutral lock, when in the locked position, prevents that the transmission range selector is inadvertently moved out of NEUTRAL.Differential Lock Pedal (If Equipped)
Do not attempt to turn the machine with the differential lock applied.
To prevent damage to the differential, do not engage the differential lock at high speeds.Do not engage the differential lock with one wheel spinning. Decrease engine rpm until the wheels stop spinning. Anticipate using differential lock before wheel slippage occurs.In high resistance areas, it may be necessary to turn the machine slightly or decrease engine rpm to aid in unlocking the differential lock.
Lock - Push DOWN and HOLD the pedal to LOCK the differential. This will help prevent wheel slippage. Use it when loading or on soft or wet ground and at low ground speeds for traction. Unlock - Release the pedal to UNLOCK the differential.Supplemental Steering (If Equipped)
Supplemental steering works only while the machine is in motion. If the steering malfunctions or the engine stops, steer the machine IMMEDIATELY to a safe location and stop.Have any necessary repairs made before returning the machine to operation.
