Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible injury, do the procedure that follows before beginning work on the hydraulic system.
a. Park the machine on a hard level surface. Lower all implements to the ground. Place the blade lift control lever in the FLOAT position if equipped. Install wheel lean locking pin in front axle.b. Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in view of the operator.c. Activate the parking brake.d. Stop the engine.e. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic tank to release the pressure in the tank.f. Make sure all hydraulic pressure is released before any fitting, hose or component is loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
Check valves in the hydraulic systems may allow pressure to exist in the hydraulic lines after the engine has stopped. Pressure must be relieved prior to servicing components of the hydraulic system. Failure to relieve pressure prior to servicing may result in personal injury.
g. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic tank.h. After the pressure in the system has been released, carefully loosen fittings and remove components.1. Remove 9J-0404 Plugs (1) from top and bottom of the control valve.2. Install one 106-3658 Lock Check Valve (2) and one 9J-0403 Spring (3) in the top of the control valve.3. Install one 106-3658 Lock Check Valve (2) and one 9J-0403 Spring (3) in the bottom of the control valve.4. Install the 9J-0404 Plugs (2) in the top and bottom of the control valve
