Procedure To Secure Bogies When Roller Frames Are Removed.
1. Remove an existing bolt from the 9P-9990 Guard Retainer on the rear bogie (A). See the Illustration.2. Assemble strap (6) to bogie (A) using spacer (3), three washers (2), and bolt (5).3. Secure other end of strap (6) to the track roller frame using one of the holes for the bulldozer trunnion assembly. Use bolt (1) and washer (2) if tractor is not equipped with a bulldozer trunnion. Strap (6) may be bent as necessary or an additional spacer (3) and a longer bolt (9S-1367) may be used to fit strap (6) between the trunnion and the 9P-9990 Guard Retainer on the bogie. Use existing dozer trunnion mounting bolt and washer (2).4. Remove the lower bolts from the 9P-9990 Guard Retainers of bogies (B, C). See the Illustration.5. Assemble strap (7) between center bogies (B, C) using spacers (3), washers (2), and bolts (1).6. Remove an existing bolt from the 9P-9990 Guard Retainer on the front bogie (D). See the Illustration.7. Assemble strap (6) to bogie (D) using spacer (3), washer (2), and bolt (5).8. Secure other end of strap (6) to the upper pin puller hole on bogie (C) using two washers (2) and bolt (4). Additional washers (2) may be used as necessary to prevent bending of the straps.
