121-4512 Vane Pump Gp (1) Pilot and braking pump (2) Steering pump (3) Implement pumpField service reports indicate that implement pump (3) within the 121-4512 Vane Pump Gp may fail.Reports indicate that under certain conditions pressure spikes from the main control valve may cause over pressurization of implement pump (3) .Solution
In the event of a failed implement pump replace the failed implement pump or replace the 121-4512 Vane Pump Gp as required.Thoroughly clean the hydraulic system, perform a kidney loop filtration in order to obtain ISO 18/15 fluid cleanliness.Perform the following procedure in order to prevent pressure spikes from the implement valve.Note: Perform this procedure before or after implement pump failure.Required Parts

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, clean the exterior of the component thoroughly. Cleaning the exterior will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Move the machine to a hard level surface away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Engage the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Turn the key start switch and the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. If there is no battery disconnect switch, remove the negative battery cable at the battery.
Release system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.Procedure
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes to prevent fluid loss and contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (2) from tee adapter (3) .
Remove and discard tee adapter (3) .

Install 5P-9097 Port Connector (4) and 053-0700 Swivel Tee (5) .
Connect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (2) .
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
