Remove spring pin (126) , shaft (123) , planetary gear (125) , thrust plates (124) , and roller bearing assembly (127) from planetary assembly (119) . Repeat for the remaining planetary gears.

Use Tooling (K) in order to remove retaining rings (129) . Remove retaining rings (129) and gear assemblies (130) . Remove O-ring seal (128) .

Use Tooling (D) and Tooling (E) in order to remove bearing race (131) .

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to cover assembly (132) . The weight of cover assembly (132) is approximately 48 kg (105 lb). Use Tooling (Z) in order to remove cover assembly (132) . Remove bolts (133) and cover assembly (132) .

Use Tooling (AA) in order to remove orifice (134) .

Note: Do not damage the windings on the stator assembly during the removal of rotor assembly (136) .
Use Tooling (CC) in order to guide rotor assembly (136) out of the stator assembly and the case. Attach Tooling (BB) and a suitable lifting device to rotor assembly (136) . The weight of rotor assembly (136) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Remove rotor assembly (136) .

Remove lip seal (142) and grounding brush (141) from rotor assembly (136) .

Note: Position cable assemblies (7) and the connector assembly out of the way.Note: Use caution in order to prevent damage to cable assemblies (7) and the connector assembly.
Remove O-ring seal (144) .
Use Tooling (Z) in order to remove stator assembly (143) . Raise stator assembly (143) with Tooling (Z) in order to install Tooling (C) .
Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to stator assembly (143) . The weight of stator assembly (143) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb). Remove stator assembly (143) .

Note: Do not damage the cable assemblies and connector assembly while you position the stator assembly onto suitable cribbing.
Position the stator assembly onto suitable cribbing. Remove retaining ring (145) . Repeat for the opposite side.
