Information:


Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible personal injury, do the following procedure prior to servicing the machine.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:a. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from working machines and personnel, and lower the hitch and/or implements to the ground.b. Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all personnel either away from the machine or in view of the operator.c. Activate the parking brake.d. Stop the engine.e. Move the hydraulic control levers to all positions to release the pressure in the implement hydraulic system.f. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure in the tank.g. Be sure all hydraulic pressure is released before any fitting, hose or component is loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.h. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic tank. The pressure in the system has now been released, and lines or components can be serviced.2. Remove the seat assembly and seat support. See "Remove & Install Seat Assembly & Seat Support" in this module. 3. Disconnect cable assembly (1) from the power take-off modulating control valve.4. Disconnect hose (2) from the power take-off modulating control valve.5. Remove bolts (4) and power take-off modulating control valve (3) from the side of the transmission. Install the power take-off modulating control valve in the reverse order of removal.6. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.Disassemble & Assemble Power Take-Off Modulating Control Valve
Start By:a. remove power take-off modulating control valve Put identification marks on all parts of the power take-off modulating control valve for assembly purposes.
Cover (18) has spring force against it. To prevent possible personal injury during removal of the cover, the cover should be held in position while slowly loosening bolts (22).
1. While holding cover (18) in position, slowly remove bolts (22). Remove cover (18). Remove o-ring seal (20) from the cover.2. Remove spool assembly (29). Remove slug (30) from the spool. Remove spring (28) and spacers (26) from retainer (27). Remove the retainer from the valve body.3. Remove bolts (24) and cover (23) from the valve body. Remove seal (19) and o-ring seal (21) from the cover. Remove o-ring seal (2) from the valve body.4. Remove link (17). Remove retaining ring (13), slug (15) and spring (11). Remove o-ring seal (12) from the slug.5. Remove load pin (16), bushing (14) and spool (9) from the valve body. Remove o-ring seal (1) from the bushing.6. Remove retaining ring (4), washer (5), shims (6) and spring (7) and (8) from the spool.7. Remove plugs (3), (10), (25) and (31) from the valve body. Remove the o-ring seal from each plug. The following steps are for the assembly of the power take-off modulating control valve.8. Check the condition of all o-ring seals used in the power take-off modulating control
