Information:
1. Thoroughly clean the area around each fuel line connection before the removal of any fuel lines.2. Remove tube assembly (3) for clearance.3. Remove two bolts (1) that fasten the mounting brackets for the fuel injection lines to the cylinder head.4. Loosen four nuts (2) and four nuts (4). Remove fuel injection lines (5).
Do not let the tops of fuel nozzles turn when the fuel lines are loosened. The nozzles will be damaged if the top of the nozzle turns in the body. The engine will be damaged if a defective fuel injection nozzle is used because the shape of fuel (spray pattern) that comes out of the nozzles will not be correct.
Put Caps (5F3807) and Plugs (2F2990) on the fuel lines, pump and the fuel injection nozzles to keep dirt and foreign material out of the fuel system.
The following steps are for the installation of the fuel injection lines.5. Remove plugs and caps from fuel line connections.6. Put fuel injection lines (5) in position and finger tighten nuts (2) and (4). Then tighten nuts (4) to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 5 lb ft) with tooling (A).7. Install two bolts (1).8. Install tube assembly (3).9. Remove the air from (bleed) the fuel system.
