(26) TRANSMISSION
Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. Use care when draining oil, changing filter elements or cleaning magnetic strainer. Hot oil or components can cause burns.
Machine must be level, implements lowered, parking brake applied, oil warm, engine not running, POWER switch OFF and key removed. 1. Remove drain plug and allow oil to drain. 2. Remove four bolts and cover.
Do not drop or rap magnets against hard objects.
3. Remove magnetic strainer assembly.
When using pressure air, wear safety face shield and protective clothing. Use 30 PSI [205 kPa] maximum pressure air for cleaning purposes.
4. Wash screen in clean non-flammable solvent. Clean magnets with a cloth, stiff brush or pressure air.5. Replace any damaged magnets.6. Install magnetic strainer assembly.7. Clean cover in clean non-flammable solvent.8. Inspect cover seal. Replace if damaged.9. Install cover and four bolts.10. Clean and install drain plug. 11. Change filter element. See TRANSMISSION FILTER in the 500 SERVICE HOURS or 3 MONTHS section. 12. Remove and discard transmission breather. Install new breather. 13. Open access door. 14. Remove and discard torque converter breather. Install new breather.15. Close access door. 16. Fill transmission compartment. See REFILL CAPACITIES.17. Start and run engine at low idle. 18. Measure oil level. Oil level should be between FULL and LOW marks on dipstick. Add oil if necessary.19. Stop engine.(27) ROLLOVER PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE (ROPS) 1. Remove covers on both sides. 2. Retorque 10 bolts on each side, 20 total. Tighten the one inch bolts to 640 80 lb. ft. (875 100 N m). Tighten the 1-1/8 inch bolts to 800 100 lb. ft. (1100 150 N m).3. Install both covers.(28) ENGINE CRANKCASE BREATHER 1. Unlock and open access panel. 2. Loosen two hose clamps. 3. Remove hose from breather. 4. Remove clamp on breather. 5. Remove and wash breather in clean non-flammable solvent. Allow to dry.6. Install breather and clamp.7. Inspect hose. Replace if damaged.8. Install hose on breather and tighten two clamps. 9. Perform steps 2 through 8 for the second breather. Close and lock access panel.(29) FRAME UPPER AND LOWER PIVOT BEARINGS 1. Lubricate 1 fitting on upper pivot. 2. Lubricate 1 fitting on lower pivot. Total 2 fittings.(30) DRIVE SHAFT SUPPORT BEARING Lubricate 1 fitting.(31) TRANSMISSION DRIVE SHAFT UNIVERSAL JOINT Lubricate 2 fittings.
