Ensure that the conveyor system is deactivated. The indicator light next to the switch should be off. If the conveyor system is operating, push conveyor switch (5) to deactivate.
Ensure that the water spray system is deactivated. The indicator light next to the switch should be off. If the water spray system is operating, push water spray switch (6) to deactivate.
Ensure that the vacuum dust control system, if equipped, is deactivated. The indicator light next to the switch should be off. If the vacuum dust control system is operating, push vacuum dust control switch (4) to deactivate.

Use conveyor joystick (7) to center the conveyor.

Ensure that the steering system is in front steering mode. Indicator light (8) next to the switch should be on. If the steering system is not in front steering mode, push front steering switch (9) to activate.Note: Front steering mode centers the rear tracks.
Use propel lever (1) to center the front tracks.

Ensure that the high-pressure water system is deactivated. The indicator light next to the switch should be off. If the high-pressure water system is operating, push high-pressure water switch (10) to deactivate.

Ensure that the engine is operating in low idle. The high idle indicator light should be off. If this indicator is illuminated, press throttle control switch (11) to operate the engine in low idle.

Move engine start switch (12) to the OFF position.

Disconnect hose (13) from the head end of the right side plate cylinder.
Install Tool (B) in the cylinder port.
Connect hose (13) to Tool (B).

Connect Tool (A2) to Tool (C).Test Procedure
Move engine start switch (12) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Actuate throttle control switch (11) to operate the engine in high idle.Note: The LED next to throttle control switch (11) will be illuminated.
Press throttle control switch (11) to operate the engine in high idle.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on operator display (15). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 38 °C (100 °F).

Press and hold right side plate lower switch (16). Record pressure on Tool (A1) after the right side plate cylinder is fully extended. Refer to "Specifications", Table 2 for the side plate pressure.
Actuate throttle control switch (11) to operate the engine in low idle.
Move engine start switch (12) to the OFF position.
If the pressure recorded in Step 5 is outside the specified range, go to the adjustment procedure. If the pressure is inside the specified range, go to Step 9.
Remove Tool (A2) from Tool (C).
Disconnect hose (13) from Tool (B).
Remove Tool (B) from the head end of the right side plate cylinder.
Connect hose (13) to the head end of the right side plate cylinder.Adjustment Procedure

If the pressure is too low, turn adjustment screw (18) clockwise. If the pressure is too high, turn adjustment screw (18)
