CONNECTOR 8K0802 - Caterpillar

The main hydraulic system operates at a pressure of approximately 4000 psi (281.2 kg/cm2) (27500 kPa). The oil pressure in the main system must be released before any oil lines or components that are connected to the main system are disconnected or removed.
1. Lower the equipment to the ground. Stop the engine. 2. Release the oil pressure in the bucket and stick hydraulic circuits as follows: a) Slowly open screw (1) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.b) Slowly open screw (2) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.c) Slowly open screw (3) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.d) Slowly open screw (4) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw. 3. Release the oil pressure in the boom hydraulic circuit as follows: a) Slowly open screw (5) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.b) Slowly open the screw on the bottom of manifold (6) 1/2 turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.c) Slowly open screw (7) on the right boom cylinder 1/2 a turn until all the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.
