Remove the flywheel housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel Housing - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (9) and thrust plate (10). Remove cluster idler gear (3).
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove sleeve bearing (11) from cluster idler gear (3).
Remove bolts (8) and remove camshaft idler gear (1). Remove idler shaft (7) and thrust washer (2).
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove sleeve bearing (6) from camshaft idler gear (1).
Remove bolts (4). Remove cluster gear shaft (5).
Remove bolts (12). Remove crankshaft gear (13). Installation Procedure
Install cluster idler gear (3), camshaft idler gear (1), cluster gear shaft (5), and crankshaft gear (13) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install sleeve bearing (6) to a depth of 1.00 0.25 mm (0.039 0.010 inch) in camshaft idler gear (1). Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install sleeve bearing (11) to a depth of 1.50 0.50 mm (0.059 0.020 inch) in cluster idler gear (3).
Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 240 20 N m (177 15 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 140 10 N m (103 7 lb ft).
